Marathon Training Wk5 Run2

  • Mood Before: Looking forward to it
  • Energy Before: Average
  • Weather: Really windy and drizzling
  • Distance Required: 5 miles

The Run

After Sunday’s 9 miles I was actually looking forward to this 5 tonight, but as soon as I started I just didn’t feel right.  I have been really bunged up (the snotty type) all day and even though it was raining and windy I got hot really quickly. I think that the bug that is going around my office is lingering and just making everything feel extra hard.  My legs felt like lead and I had to drag myself through it. 

Dave Grohl managed to get me going for a couple of miles and then I had to summon the spirit of Stevie Nicks to finish the last mile.  I hope Sunday’s 10 miles goes better!
