I am leaving the UK for the hustle and bustle of Melbourne in late 2012. This blog is to document my journey to improved well being through fitness and weight loss.
I want to leave the UK trim, toned and feeling great about myself!
I'm all about dancing, running, Nike, eating, gossiping and sarcasm :)

Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
Last week my Body Pump instructor decided that she didn’t like the Rocky bicep track so we would be doing an old one from now on, but because she is a bit OCD (her words, not mine) that meant doing a totally different release. We ended up doing release 70 which was new to me and I did a little dance of joy when this Pink song was the squat song.
I adore Pink and this song’s lyrics cut quite deep for me. I pushed myself so hard during that track and it was because of this song. I think the reason I love Pink is that she doesn’t seem to take any bull shit from anyone. She is very passionate in her beliefs and is the kind of girl I would want in my group of friends. She is also an amazing athlete. I remember the boys at college saying that she had a horrible body because she didn’t have big boobs or the more traditional pop-star body type, but you only have to go to one of her shows to see how she moves around her stage sets to see that she is so damn strong.
I actually met her in Harrods a few years ago and she was so friendly and I got a little star struck!
Overall I had a great class today and the little break I have had seems to have sorted my back issues out and I upped my back track weights to 12kg from 10kg. I also seem to have developed some mental tricep strength as I breezed through the tricep push ups today :)
I always feel so much happier after a Body Pump class. If I was a doctor I would make all my patients with mental health issues give it a go. It makes me feel so empowered.
